I hail from Chennai, India. Engineer by trade, fascinated by and exploring nature, wildlife, astro and streets, behind the lens. A combination of love for walking, photography, and living downtown Vancouver, led me to VanSPC and there's no looking back.
What one piece of advice would you give street photographers just starting out?
Carry a dedicated camera everywhere and keep it accessible, rain or shine.
What are your top two places in Vancouver for shooting and why?
English Bay around sunset - for a variety of personalities involved in interesting activities
Gastown at night - beautiful classic lights
Which three street photographers have influenced your work the most?
I have two.
Valerie Jardin: Currently not very active on social media but focusing on workshops. When I was getting started with this genre I listened to her podcasts a lot and her insights about the ethics in street photography stuck with me.
Sean Tucker: His good street photography aside, I am a fan of his contemporary philosophical touch in photography, art and life itself.
