Fleeting Moments Exhibit Opening Reception

Creating a lasting photograph is much like building a pyramid. It begins with a solid foundation and gradually builds upward. A photograph’s foundation rests on light, layers, contrast, colour, and composition. The next level introduces a story told or a question asked. At the pinnacle lies the moment; that split second when every element falls perfectly into place.

This pursuit is what connects the members of the Vancouver Street Photography Collective. We are photographers who venture out into the city to look, observe, and respond. The exhibition Fleeting Moments showcases a selection of work by twenty-six of our members, each bringing a distinctive perspective. These photographs freeze time, presenting a kaleidoscope of urban life that would otherwise have gone unseen.

Pavement Poetry Exhibition

Pavement Poetry Exhibition

As a collective of street photographers, Pavement Poetry is our shared response to the quiet, unfiltered moments that the streets offer every day. Each of us brings a different perspective, different rhythms, and instincts, but we are united by a common practice: walking, watching, and translating the language of the street into image.

We see the street as a living canvas, layered with texture, light, gesture, and coincidence. Our work captures those unscripted moments where the ordinary turns lyrical, where a shadow, a glance, or a flicker of motion becomes something more. Moments composed in real time, fleeting and often invisible to the hurried eye.

This exhibition invites viewers to slow down and read the street like a poem, one frame at a time.

On My Way Exhibition

This group exhibition explores the interplay of movement and stillness in urban life through street photography. Featuring works from the Vancouver Street Photography Collective and Photo Club Vancouver, it examines how walking, cycling, and commuting shape our interactions with the city.

Through spontaneous, fleeting moments, the images reveal the rhythms of urban mobility and how movement transforms our perception of space. Hosted at The Gallery George in downtown Vancouver, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the energy and flow that define city life.
