From September 17–28, 2025, VanSPC proudly presented its annual street photography exhibit, Pavement Poetry at The Gallery George. This year’s theme invited broad interpretation, encouraging members to explore the rhythms, stories, and fleeting moments found in everyday life on the streets. The result was a diverse and evocative collection of photographs that captured both the intimacy and the energy of urban spaces, reminding us that beauty and meaning can be found in the most ordinary corners of our surroundings.

The exhibit’s opening gala was held on September 19, which brought together photographers, collectors, and the broader arts community. The evening was alive with conversation and connection, as guests moved through the gallery, pausing to reflect on images that resonated with them. Several framed prints found new homes that night, marking not only the success of the artists but also the growing recognition of street photography as a vital and expressive art form.

Over the course of the exhibit’s run, visitors were able to engage with work that highlighted VanSPC’s unique perspective as a collective—each photograph contributing to a shared narrative while retaining the individuality of its creator. Pavement Poetry reaffirmed the power of photography to tell stories, provoke thought, and bring people together, and it stood as a testament to the talent and dedication of the collective’s members.
